Mitzi

I retired in June of 2020 which was partly due to COVID. I had been looking to rescue a Golden from GLGRR for a bit, when this most beautiful, gentle giant became available for adoption. I was visiting my sister up north when the GLGRR roster came out! I saw Mitzi along with a couple other Goldens that I was interested in, but after looking further at that face, my sister and brother in law said I should look at Mitzi.

I called and made an appointment to meet this lovely lady. What a treat and a joy! I was pretty much smitten when we met, but again, being of smaller stature, I was concerned about her size. However, I quickly learned that Mitzi is as gentle as she is large!! She has been nothing but wonderful since bringing her home!!!

Mitzi loves to go for walks, romps in the snow, sleeping with Olive, one of my kitties, and myself. It is great to have this huge babe snuggle up to me, whether we are watching TV together or just hanging out. She is such a sweet gentle babe!!! Mitzi is a loving, loving, kind pup at 5 years young! She gives kisses, hugs and is such a joy! She loves to play with Olive, as you can see in the photo. They have become very good friends! It is hilarious to watch this big Golden chase the much smaller kitty around the house, then Olive, the kitty, will in turn chase Mitzi! So sweet!!! My other kitty steers clear of Mitzi but perhaps at some point she may cozy up to Mitzi.

Mitzi had only been in rescue for about 2 weeks when I saw her. However, her life prior to coming into rescue was not what would have been ideal for such a lovely lady, or any other Golden. I am forever grateful for GLGRR for the opportunity to give this babe a better life, thus enriching my own life. I hope Mitzi and I have many years together, she is a love and I love her so very much! Again, thank you GLGRR!!! –Much love, Cindy Ryan
