Sawyer

Sawyer

image3We adopted Sawyer on October 19, 2014, from GLGRR, just one year ago this week! When Sawyer first entered GLGRR he was 140+ pounds and he was just two years old. Sawyer immediately warmed his way into our hearts and we can’t imagine living without him.  Though he was a kind, sweet dog when we got him, Sawyer wouldn’t look us in the eye, nor would he come when we called.  He was sweet as can be, and wouldn’t run away, but Sawyer just wouldn’t engage.  We decided a road trip was in order, so took Sawyer to the ocean over Christmas break.  What a changed dog.  He was happy, engaged, and greeted everyone like they were his best friend!

With all of these activities, he is now down to 112 pounds and very close to his target weight! Sawyer is being evaluated Sunday to become a therapy dog!  We can’t thank GLGRR enough for all of their great work! – Judy and Werner Lambertz
